Enhanced Reliability, New Features, and Fixes!

We’ve made a number of important improvements to make Docs more reliable, especially when pasting content from Word, formatting text, and using toolbars. Here’s what’s new and what’s been fixed:

🧾 Copy and Paste Fixes

• Tables and rows copied from Excel now keep their format when pasted into the editor.

• Copying and pasting numbered or bulleted lists from Word now keeps the correct structure and order, including sub-lists and Roman numerals.

• Pasting content like a Table of Contents or complex numbering from Word now works as expected.

• Pasting tables with headers and merged cells now displays correctly.

• Pasting lists from OneNote and deleting them afterward now works properly.

• Pasting URLs from Notepad now shows the correct link format.

• Added support for pasting .hex files.

• Pasting a video link no longer removes the formatting around it.

• Pasting a table now allows you to add a footer, even if the table came from Word.

• Pasted links with special characters no longer remove text formatting.

🔧 General Fixes and Improvements

• The toolbar now stays in place (sticky) as expected while scrolling.

• Fixed an issue where formatting was not applied if the content started with a non-editable block.

• Font size changes inside a table no longer create extra rows.

• The font size setting now works as expected.

• Bold formatting no longer makes an entire list item bold when applied to a link.

• The underline of text can now be changed together without issues.

• Increasing font size also properly increases subscript text.

• Lists no longer jump into table cells when pressing backspace.

• Using “clear formatting” no longer deletes your videos.

• Changing an image caption no longer adds unnecessary code in the background.

• The link editing popup now appears as expected even when full-page editing is on.

• You can now insert links with special characters without losing other formatting.

• Fixed alignment problems in the line-height dropdown.

• Fixed an issue where the font family and size were lost in some editing setups.

• Cursor now stays in the correct place inside tables and wrapped content.

• Default styles now apply correctly to all content in line break mode.

• Fixed a problem where the image toolbar would move when scrolling the page.
