Advanced document filtering

Plannerly now includes a completely redesigned document filtering system that makes it much easier to focus on what matters at any moment.
A before, you can filter documents and sections by
status
, including:
  • In progress
  • Shared
  • Published
  • Archived
The new
Archived
status ties directly into the
archive instead of delete
workflow, and is how archived sections and document tabs are surfaced when needed.

You can also filter by
assignment
, allowing you to:
  • See content assigned to you
  • View work assigned to specific team members
  • Focus on items you’re managing or reviewing
image
This can be combined with the
Comments
filter, which supports:
  • Unread comments
  • Unresolved comments
  • Mentions
  • Sections with comments
  • Sections with no comments

In addition, the
Updated
filter lets you focus on content changes over time, such as:
  • Sections updated today
  • Content changed yesterday
  • Updates from the last 7 days

These filters can be combined to quickly narrow down exactly what you need. For example:
  • View sections assigned to you that still have unresolved comments
  • Find content updated in the last few days that’s ready for review or approval
  • Identify commented sections that need resolution before publishing
  • Focus on active work while hiding archived or completed content
This makes it far easier to manage documents as living, collaborative systems rather than static files. Unlike traditional Word documents, PDFs, or email-based workflows, everything is:
  • Tracked
  • Filterable
  • Linked to assignments and comments
  • Retained with full history
  • Integrated with the approval process
The result is faster collaboration, clearer accountability, and much easier alignment across project teams.
