Currently, timeline bars inherit Team colors. Adding the option to reflect status colors could make the schedule more intelligent and in some use cases more informative.

Wanted to let you know we've picked this up and it's now In Progress. As a first step we're bringing status pills onto the task bars in the Timeline view, mirroring the existing grid behavior and controlled by the same view preference toggle. That way you get clear status information on each bar without losing the Team color structure that's already there, and the experience stays consistent across Grid and Timeline. We'll update you on this soon!

Great feedback - a solid first step could be to allow status pills to appear directly on each task bar in the timeline view, similar to how they’re already visible in the grid view. Since there’s already a view preference toggle for showing statuses in the grid, this behavior could be extended to the timeline as well.
That way, users get the added clarity of status information without losing the existing team color structure, and it keeps the experience consistent across views.
