Additionally to Categories and Section, a separator-block for page breaks would be a nice feature for better formatting of the final document.

Have you tried using the "Horizontal Line Break" for this?:

Clive Jordan Line Break works fine, but most of the time i would need the line to be invisible/not printed (being able to change line color would work too)

Alexander Joslyn: We're currently working on a major update to Docs editing functionality, which should be released just before Christmas (consider it our holiday gift!). While that's in progress, I agree with the request to make it invisible by default.
